Running is

them all. It is also part of the conditioning process for
many athletes participating in sports that involve no
running at all, i.e., swimming, road cycling, mountain bike
riding, cross country skiing, golf and many more. In fact
even chess players run or jog to improve their fitness
levels.
Running in all its forms, eg. sprinting, middle distances
and long distance, requires an optimum mix of endurance,
stamina and speed, according to the event. However in middle
